I love Barry M nail polish (even more so because it's animal friendly!), these colours are gorgeous, they just need a few coats on to look nice and smooth.

The front, slightly smaller kitty-pot is a new addition! Only 50p with two other ornaments (the two dogs on the right handside on the pic below!) Crazy cheap!

A present for Heidi from a fair I worked Sunday!

Can you believe I preordered this, collected it on the release day but still haven't started it yet? I just ahven't had the time yet... but this weekend, I think, is Stephenie Meyer time! * I'm not sure what to think, especially as the character is hardly even mentioned much in Eclipse... and Bella and Edward aren't in it much/at all... hmmmmm.

My first trip to Nandos with Mikee... lovely food, but kinda too spicy for me! Next time I go I think I will just have to say NO spices at all, not even a sprinkle, hehe.

New herr! I finally got a new hairstyle! Loving it... and it only took me a couple of hours to braid the dreads in... the best ones I've ever brought, I was so impressed by the girl who made them!

Dolly Dearest is now Santa Macabre... and I must say I prefer my DIY business cards... cheaper too!

Busy times are good.

So, this is just a quick post as I am super super busy... I have another fair! Make It Pretty is going to be held at a local art centre called Chapter... apparently they get around 800 people in on a Saturday, and I've heard amazing things about it. I'm going to look around on Saturday, super stoked! And the sellers are so keen and excited, all spaces have almost been booked in a day, I wish Vintage Pretty was as easy to book!

do you get on well with your parents?

I'm very much a daddys girl... my father is my best friend. I am so lucky to have him as my dad, I seriously wouldn't be where I am now without him. He has been the person that has been my rock, always helped me and never judged me. I owe him so much. Besides that we also have so much in common personality wise, and I love talking to him. Living away from him is hard, I miss being able to see him more often. We speak every night, but I still miss him.
My mom and I get on a lot better than we ever did, but it has always been a hard and even heartbreaking relationship. I love her so much, but at times she doesn't seem to see that. My mom has the ability to change my mood like the flick of a switch. She brought us up as a single mom from my age of 7 years old ish (though we had regular weekly contact with my dad) and has had a lot of health issues. I wish we had got on better, and I wish we got on better now. But having said that I still ring every night, I love her with all of my heart. I guess we just need to understand each other more. I couldn't possibly find a stronger person than my mom, and I do think that I could never be as strong as she is.

At first where you scared of getting your art out there? I love drawing and i think ive got a real talent for it but putting it out there for people scares the hell out of me :/

Awww... well if you mean with my Santa Macabre makey makey stuff... not scared really. Just hopeful that people would like it. But I did have to do a fair at first to see how it would all go, and when I nearly sold out I was in heaven! It may sound like I'm bragging, but I was just so pleased and excited and grateful!
When I used to spend all my time drawing, I used to really beat myself up over it, and I think that may be partly where I went wrong... I didn't believe in myself enough and was too shy to get out there and chase an apprenticeship, or even just some constructive criticism.
Even if you post your work online you run the risk of someone picking it apart with criticism or comments... So I suppose you have to just 'man up' and do it... because that's definitely preferable to not making that step.
Sometimes people I've know in the past have frustrated me (ok, so maybe just one person, who I no longer have contact with) because they don't do ANYTHING with their spare time... nothing at all... I suppose I would suggest people do something creative with their spare time... but anything... jeez... I can't understand people who don't devote time to their passions and interests. That's the saddest thing.
So, in short I think you have to force yourself out of your comfort zone at first... like even now I get a little nervous thinking of selling at fairs, but I couldn't take the easy way out and stay at home instead, it would drive me insane to think of everyone out there and I took the easiest way out.

If Vegans love animals so much,why keep them as pets?
Because we want to love them, provide for them and enjoy their companionship? Its not hard to figure out. Its not like pets nowadays are obtained by going out and capturing an animal from the wild. However I don't agree with breeding and selling, and would only go to a dog/animal rescue if I were to want to add to our family. I would like to point out though that not all 'Vegans' are the same, so it would make more sense to address the questions to me as I cannot answer for others.

Do you feed your dogs a vegan diet?
We feed Bambi and Bela a mixture of everything to be honest!
Their staple diet is dog food (meat) and dog biscuits. They do not have the voices to tell me what they want to eat, and for me not to feed them meat seems a little cruel.
However they both eat a lot of human food, which is always vegan in our home! They love pasta, chips, crisps, bread... even cherry tomatoes (though they mainly play with them!).
I cannot make the decision for them, especially when you take into account that if they were wild dogs they would more than likely hunt and kill animals. That is their instinct.
And I'm guessing the next question may be "Well isn't it in our instinct to eat meat?"... Well maybe back in the caveman days, but we have evolved and developed mentally a hell of a lot since then (though sometimes that is hard to believe!) and we have no reasoning for why we should eat meat. Not when there are so many amazing non-meat foods out there, and there's meat substitutes for those who enjoy the taste of meat.

are your tattoos done using vegan ink? and if so may i ask where you get them done? have been looking for a vegan tattooist for so long.
I have to be totally honest and say I don't know:( I'm guessing the ink is okay but having not been tattooed much since going vegan I have been a bit lax in making sure that the inks are vegan. So I couldn't recommend an artist as such, but you could do what I will be doing later... Googling vegan friendly inks! My next tattoo plan is with a vegan tattoo artist in Brighton so I may have to pick her brains!

I do drink tea, with soya and 2 sugars. But I have never liked coffee at all!
